Toastmasters Membership

To become a member of the Richmond Toastmasters Club, e-mail the Club Treasurer. He will help you fill out a membership application. You can also obtain an application by coming, as a walk-in guest, to any one of our weekly meetings. Our Club Officers will be glad to fill you in on the details.

For new members, the chart to the right shows the dues based on the month you join. This initial fee includes International and club dues, your Competent Communicator manual, and a monthly subscription to Toastmasters magazine. Dues of $36 for existing members are collected in April and October.

Please note:

• New Richmond Toastmasters Club members with a previous Toastmasters membership are not required to pay the Toastmasters New Member fee of $20 (included in the chart)
• Please make checks payable to Richmond Toastmasters

Once you join, you will participate in the various speaking and meeting assignments. Everyone works at their own pace. You start with the simple assignments first, and as you become familiar with the meeting and develop your communication skills, you move to more challenging ones.

New members are assigned mentors. This is usually performed by the Membership Officer. For more information on becoming a member, contact our VP of Membership or our President.
